The black shape rolled slowly into the cave, as it had everyday for the past who-knows-how-long, a yellow light scanning from side to side at it's front, it's dim head lights lighting the way. Slowly, it dimmed the lights, going into hiding once more.
A pitiful existance, for what once had been the Car of the Future...

"Rory, I've got to get off the phone, it looks like-" A fork of lightning was seen on the horizons and the next thing I knew, it was raining cats and dogs. "Rain. Bye." I tucked my phone into my shorts pocket and ran into the nearest shelter I could find, a largish cave. Damn. Only I could go to the beach on the day of a storm and not realise.

The car sat still and silent in the cave as it's scanners detect a shape entering. Unfortunately, lack of maintenence and crashing into the Pacific Ocean had caused its scanners to deteriate beyond reseaonable limits, so a shape was all it was getting.

"Is someone there?" I asked, sensing a priickling sensation in my nose. Something metalic, man made, gasoliney..."Hello?"

The car sat silent as teh voice reached it's audio recievers, distorted by deterioration. If teh car could, it would have grimmaced. As it was, it let out a low, rumbling growl. At least it's generators weren't shorting out.

"Ooooh, scary growl," I muttered, moving cautiously into the cave. "I'm sure you scare all the other demons who li- Ow!"

Headlights lit up, the yellow glow of a small scanning LED glowing between them, sweeping back and forth.

"Ok, never heard of a demon car before. Or, maybe not the demon part." I squinted against the glare of the headlights, trying to see properly.

"LEave here now," the car growled out. As with everything else, the speakers were deteriorated, leaving a distorted, almostinjured tone to the voice.

"You don't sound so good," I murmured, ignoring the warning. "You ok in there?"

"It is of no concern of yours. Human's will only hurt that which they fear."

"You don't need to tell me that. I won't hurt you if you don't hurt me. Is that a deal?"

"Is there any other carbon based sentient life form?"
