"Head back," I said. "We know zero on what's going on here, and that flash gave me a bad feeling."

"Sounds good, because I don't plan on doing any swimming," Rogue replied, thankful that they weren't.

We made our way back to the Gateroom, arriving just in time for McKay, one of the head scientists, explain the situation. Aparently, the power source for the city, three Zero Point Modules, were near completely depleted, the shield keeping teh city safe was failing. Dr. Wier was talking about sending an expedition looking for new Z.P.M's.
"I might have a solution," I said, stepping forward. "A friend of mine designed an AI years ago. I have hi...it here with me. Perhaps we could plug Mal in and find a viable co ordinate?"
"An AI?" McKay said dubiously. "Are you serious?"

"Very," I said, pulling out the portable core Mal had designed.
"Plug it in," Wier said. "It's not like we have any other ideas."
"Yes, ma'am."

"Can water get in here?" I asked.

"If the force field gow down," MacKay said. Rogue looked very nervous.
Alright, pal," I said, plugging the core into the lapt they'd set up to interface with the Ancitent technology. "You're on."
"Well, it's about time," the AI's voice said through the laptop's speakers. "I was getting cramped."
"No time for jokes, Mal," I said. "We've got water around us, a forcfield going down and no power to keep it up. Give us something."
"Several addresses that may have some possibilities of success," Mal said. "Also, there seems to be an automatic surfacing program should the Z.P.M's be completely drained."
"Can it activate the program?" Wier asked.
"I'm not an 'it', Doctor Wier," Mal said. "And I can answer questions myself you know. And yes. I can. It'll just take a few moments. It's very complex, much more than normal computers. I'm in."
"Quit showin' off and get us surface bound, Mal," I said with a grin.
"You take all the fun out of life," Mal grumbled as the city began to rise.

Rogue sighed in relief as the city rose. She may have learned to swim but that didn't mean she liked the water.

"Good work, Mal," I said. "Start preparing a list of viable Z.P.M's and report to Doctor Wier," I turned to the head of the exhibition. "With you're permission, Doctor, I'd like to go out with one of the away teams." "I...think we can manage that," she said.
"cool," I said. "so, more exploration."
"This guys nuts," one of the soldiers muttered.

"Of course he is." I told the soldier. "You'd have to be to agree to go looking at this stuff." I looked around. "Now what?"

"Mal? Any storage rooms?"
"Several," Mal said. "Give me a moment to unlock them. Also, i believe you may want to watch one of the labs. there's an entity contained in a small cylinder capable of draining energy."
"Good call, buddy," I said. MacKay shook his head.
"Unbelievable," he muttered.
"That's Mal."

"Check the towers that were flooded," the military head ordered. "See if there's anything salvageable."
"Mal, there any weapons around here?" I asked.
"I believe the hangar bay may be of interest."
"Hangar bay?" I asked. "There's a flippin' hangar bay? Sweet."

"Lisa," I said, turning to the Slayer. "Hangar Bay = wicked cool alien vehicles."
"He is excited," on of the soldiers muttered.

"I can barely handle when you drive your car. I don't want to be in an alien space craft with you," Lisa replied.
