It has been 4 months since the last chapter. Rogue moved in with Doc, Jessy took Rogue maternity clothes shopping (Which I may make into a separate story later) and the baby’s room was all set. They had no clue if the baby was a boy or a girl, or what to name the baby (Open to suggestions), so they made the room neutral tones.
Rogue sighed as she lay on one of the couches in the Dojo’s library and opened a book she had been reading. The Dojo was empty, with Jessy at school and Doc away attending to some damages at one of his hotels. Rogue drank from a mug of blood and glanced down at her now well rounded belly.
Rogue sighed again. She knew something was off. She had heard a lot from Darla’s pregnancy and was worried about craving children’s blood, but gladly she didn’t. No big bads had come around. For the most part she felt normal. Something was really off.
Rogue could faintly hear screaming from the streets. The sudden wave of human blood hit her and she got up and went to the training room across the hall and grabbed a sword. She pulled it out of it’s sheathe and walked to the door leading outside. She could hear the screams of many people as they ran past the Dojo. Rogue opened the door, thankful that the sun was on the other side of the Dojo. At first Rogue saw nothing until she heard a strange roar. Her eyes focused on a demon in the street with long arms, yellow eyes, and brown skin; looking directly at her. It screamed before running towards Rogue.
“Oh sh*t,” Rogue said slamming the door. ‘I need to get it away from all those people,’ Rogue thought then she had an idea. “Mal, reinforce this door until I tell you to open it,” Rogue said hurriedly as she ran back to the training room. And grabbed several mags and stuffed them in a bag before grabbing two guns and loading them. “Mal, now.”
With the command, Mal opened the door and the demon burst in. Rogue whipped around and fired upon the demon. The demon turned in rage at the pregnant vampire and ran at her. The only thought going through its head was to avenge its mate by killing it’s killers.
Rogue took off down the hall and once enough space was between them, Rogue turned and fired several rounds. Once empty she continued to run and quickly replaced the mags. This continued for about 20 minutes. Rogue reached in her bag for another mag but found their no more.
‘Don’t these things ever die?’ Rogue thought angrily, as she dropped the guns and pulled out her sword. ‘At least he wasn’t able to hurt anybody in here,’ Rogue thought as she pulled out her sword and turned around. The only problem was that she couldn’t find the demon.
“sh*t this can’t be good,” Rogue said. She suddenly turned around and jabbed her sword into the creature and pulled it out and prepared to decapitate the creature when it grabbed her and threw her through the door into the library, but at the last moment the doors opened and closed, letting Rogue through and cutting off the creature.
“Thanks, Mal” Rogue said grabbing her sword and getting up.
“You’re welcome,” Mal said almost proudly. A loud bang echoed in the library. Rogue quickly walked over to the nearest table which held the book she had found the demon’s info in and quickly skimmed through the pages until she found the page about the demon. Rogue cursed when she read the page.
“Why didn’t I read that before,” Rogue said as another loud bang echoed. Rogue looked over to the door to see large dents in the reinforced steel doors and cringed knowing they wouldn’t hold any longer. Rogue turned as if to run when she heard the door burst open and felt something hit her. She gave off one scream as darkness claimed her.

Doc came back to the Dojo to pick Rogue up, after he talked to the witnesses to the damage. What had disturbed him was the fact they had described the demon that skewered Rogue. What he saw when he arrived, shocked him greatly. The front door was dented, things were strewn around, and bullet shells littered the ground. Doc ran through the halls and found green blood pooled just outside the library. The library steel doors lay on the ground with large dents. He saw red blood on one of the tables and walked over to see it had come from a mug Rogue must have been drinking. He sighed before his eyes were caught on the book. At the bottom it read:
‘They are extremely intelligent. They also mate for life. If one of a mated pairs is about to be killed they send the images to its mate telepathically, so its mate well be able to avenge them.’
Doc cursed and geared up.

Rogue woke up and felt chains on her wrists. Rogue looked around to see she was in a sewer. Her eyes followed the chains to a pole that stood in the middle of the room. Rogue got up and tested out the distance she could move. She quickly made a mental note of about 5 feet.
‘Your awake,’ I voice boomed inside her head.
‘f**k off,’ her vampire side screamed, pissed at being tied to a pole by chains.
‘You won’t be thinking that way when your mate comes to save you,’ the demon said coming out from the shadows. Rogue ignored the demon and gave the chains a good yank but the pole didn’t move.
‘It is buried 10 feet under the surface. It’s not going anywhere, and neither are you.’
