Los Angelos was busy as it was every other night. People rushing from one place to another, cars zooming down streets and music blasting from the clubs. Their was so much going on in the city that it would be hard to imagine a place that was quiet, but their was a few places. A couple could be seen walking in a graveyard, chatting. They would have seemed normal, save the fact that they each carried a weapon of some sort.
"So how are the new recrutes?" Doc questioned, wondering how they were handleing their training.
"Once they finally got over the fact that I am a vampire they have been doing rather well," Rogue said proudly.
"Thats good," Doc said as they fell into silence. The continued to walk in silence for about 20 minutes before a strange brown demon with long arms and yellow eyes attacked. It swong it's long arm at Doc, sending him flying into a gravestone with a crack.
"You'll pay for that," Rogue said in a deadly tone, vamping out and pulling out her sword. The brown demon turned to Rogue and yellow eyes glared at her. Rogue swong her sword but the demon raised it's arm and the sword reflected right off. Rogue swong from the left, only for the sword to bounce off his arm. Rogue continued to send one swing after another, never once was blood spilled. Rogue jabbed the sword through the demon's chest and gave a satisfied smirk was the demon screamed before falling to the ground. Rogue pulled out her sword and resheathed it. She unvamped when she saw Doc, still lying on the ground. With two steps, Rogue strode over to Doc and checked his pulse and gave a sigh of releif when she found a stronge pulse.
"Doc wake up," Rogue said in a quiet tone as she turned him onto his back and cupping his cheek. After a moment his eyes opened.
"Where did the demon go?" Doc asked, confused as to why he was on the ground.
"Slayed," Rogue said looking over to where the body lay, only to find it wasn't their. "What the hell?" Rogue said standing up. She looked aroundbut could not see, nor sense, the demon.
"I don't get it," Rogue said placing her hand on her sword's hilt. "I jabbed my sword through his chest, why isn't he," but Rogue was cut off as, in a quick action, a brown hand wrapped it's self around her neck and something sharp penetrated through her back and out the front of her stomach. Rogue felt something coarse through her veins, making her limbs feel heavy.
Doc looked up in both horror and surprise as the sharp object retracted from Rogue. The nand let go and Rogue fell to the ground. Over Rogue's limp figure stood the demon, with a blade protruding from it's arm, blood ozzing down the blade. It suddenly retracted back into the demon's arm.
Doc looked from Rogue to the demon, his eyes going white. A thick mist rolled in and Doc slowly got up, anger pulsing off him in waves. The graveyard was coated with fog almost like a blanket. The demon stepped over Rogue's limp form and calmly raised it's arm and brought it down upon Doc and in an instant he grabbed it woth his hand. The demon let out a growl but Doc ignored it and gave the demon an upper cut punchand the demon's head snapped back with a crack. He then gave the demon a round kick, sending it to the ground. Doc pulled out Rogue's sword and as the demon started to stand up, Doc brought the sword down upon the demon and it's head fell to the ground, it's body following a moment after.
The mist cleared away and Doc's eyes turned back to normal. He quickly strode over to Rogue and kneeled down next to her limp form. Her eyes flickered, but no other movement. Doc quickly scooped her up and ran out the graveyard and quickly got Rogue into the backseat of his car and shut the door before getting into the front. He placed the key into the egnition and started up the car, shifting it into reverse and pulling out, shifting it to drive. With all this going on all he could think about was to get to the Dojo as quickly as possible.
