This used to be on TPot's site. But it stuffed up. So I'm posting it here. Power Rangers (up to Space)/X-Men (movie with some comic elments). Any Power Ranger confusion head to www.rangercentral.com. “Ya sure about this, darlin’?” Logan asked his companion. The young woman looked at the town as they approached. “He deserves an explanation, Logan,” she said. “They all do, but especially him. After what I did…” “Ya did what had ta be done,” Logan assured her. “If they’d started lookin’ for Weapon X, there would’ve been trouble.” “I know,” she said. “It still doesn’t excuse what I did to him.” “Now’s yer chance ta apologise, girl,” he said as they pulled in to town. The girl looked at the sign as they passed. Welcome to Angel Grove. Nice sentiments, but will I be welcomed? Angel Grove Youth Centre. “Hey, look who’s here?” TJ said as a familiar figure entered the centre. “Hey guys,” Tommy said. “How are things?” “Same old, same old,” the Blue Space Ranger said. “Bad guys just keep linin’ up.” “Nice to see things don’t change,” Tommy laughed, ordering a smoothy. “How’s the racing career?” Carlos asked. “Yeah,” Cassie agreed. “I’m surprised you haven’t won Daytona by now,” Tommy gave another laugh, shaking his head. “Kept thinking about… other cars I drove,” Tommy said, referring to the Red Lightening Turbo Zord he had handed to TJ. “So, I’m going to college. Doing a palaeontology course.” “Well, check it out,” TJ joked. “Guess we’ll have to start calling you ‘Doctor Oliver’ before long.” “Funny,” Tommy chuckled. “Tommy!” “Hey Ashley,” Tommy said as the Yellow Space Ranger joined them with an unfamiliar face behind her in a red shirt. It was instinctive for Tommy, he’d been there. He knew the signs other people missed, so it wasn’t hard to spot the Red Space Ranger. “I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Tommy.” “Andros,” the Red Ranger said. “It’s an honour. I’ve heard a lot about you from…” the gap said it all for Tommy. This guy knew Zordon. “Then he probably over exaggerated,” TJ joked, which earned him a swat on the head from Cassie. “Tommy never got demoted,” the Pink Ranger reminded him. There was a roar of laughter at TJ sheepish look. The group never noticed the two new comers enter. “There he is,” she said silently. She couldn’t believe her luck. Whether it was good or bad, she couldn’t decide. “Ya ready, darlin’?” Logan asked. The girl nodded hesitantly. “Call if ya need me.” “Thanks Logan,” she whispered, walking towards the group. From the laughter and sheepish look the one in blue had, someone had been the butt of someone else’s joke. Nice to see some things haven’t changed, she thought to herself. She got an arms length away when Tommy turned to her. Her breath caught in her throat. “Kimberly?” “Hey Tommy.” “Kimberly?” “Hey Tommy,” Tommy Oliver had faced many things in his life, but none had been as surprising or nerve wracking than the appearance of his ex girlfriend. “What are you doing here?” He asked, harder than he had meant. “I… came to see you,” she said slowly. “It would have been nice to see you when you broke up with me,” Tommy said harshly. “Instead, you sent a letter.” “I had my reasons,” Kimberly said. “What reasons are those?” Tommy demanded. Kim looked close to tears, and Tommy wanted to tell her it was all right, but he wouldn’t be hurt again. “Meet me at the place that changed both of our lives forever,” Kim said. “I’ll explain everything then.” Tommy watched as she left. The place that changed both of their lives forever. There was only one place in the entire world that could be. The site of the old Command Centre.

Thankyou. You follow it okay?
Kimberly looked at the rubble around her. It was hard to believe that this place had once been like a second home to her, and indeed to all the Rangers. She gave a long sigh, kicking the dust at her feet. There was a ‘clunk’, like she’d hit something solid. She looked down to see a familiar piece of equipment. “Oh wow,” she whispered, picking up what seemed to be her old Power Bow. “I can’t believe this actually survived,” she smiled, remembering the first time she had ever held the weapon, then later, when it had to be replaced due to lack of power. She ran her finger down the bowstring, drawing it back. Good times. Happy times. “I don’t come up here to often,” Kim spun to see Tommy come the edge towards her. “Too many mixed memories.” “I guess there would be,” Kim said. “Wonder if any of the other weapons survived?” Tommy small talked. Kim shrugged. “Who knows?” She said, leaning the bow against a near by support beam. Or what was left of one, anyway. “Why did you come back?” Tommy asked suddenly. Kimberly took a breath. “To see you,” she said. “To explain why I did it,” Tommy looked at her, waiting. “It begins, I guess, when I was born,” Kimberly began. “Not in Angel Grove Hospital, but in a lab in Canada. The end result to an experiment years in the making.” “Experiment?” Tommy gasped. “Sixteen years before we met, a top secret project experimenting on mutants used two mutants to create, what they hoped would be, the perfect soldier,” Kim explained. “Me. Before they could even begin planning my training, however, the male half of the experiment broke out, and took me with him. That was six months after I was born. A year after that, he left me with the Harts, and they adopted me. He stopped by from time to time, checking in on me. He explained what had happened, and why I should keep a low profile. When Zordon chose us to be his Power Rangers, I wasn’t too sure on the effects it’d have on me, but after thinking about it I couldn’t turn him down. I told him and Alpha about my past, and they ran some tests to make sure there weren’t any side affects. None of the others knew.” “I don’t believe this,” Tommy muttered. “Believe it,” Kim said, triggering the claws in her left hand. Three long blades slid from her knuckles. Tommy’s eyes went wide. “The ‘Coach’ was a Weapon X agent. He took me back there, but not before I figured it out and posted the letter. I knew that if I disappeared, you’d come looking for me.” “So you sent the letter,” Tommy said slowly. “So I wouldn’t look for you.” “And put yourself in danger doing something stupid and heroic,” Kim finished. “The original Weapon X, the man who’d escaped years ago, found out and came after me, but not before they implanted this metal,” she raised her still exposed claws, “into me. This stuff is grafted along my entire skeleton. On the up side…” “There’s an up side?” Tommy asked sceptically, barely concealing his own rage. He wondered if getting Andros and the others to bomb these Weapon X creeps would be breaking the Ranger code. “I heal faster,” Kim explained. “Otherwise I’d probably be bleeding to death right now. My senses are enhanced too, so I know you’re pretty pissed off at the moment.” “Now there’s an understatement,” Tommy muttered. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell us.” “I didn’t want you guys worrying about me,” Kimberly said. “Stupid, yeah, but you guys had enough on your plate with Rita and Zedd.” “Well, you got me there,” Tommy admitted. “What about these side effects, Zordon and Alpha tested for?” “One major one, and that was a good thing,” Kim said. “The Power suppressed my mutation so it didn’t go active until I gave Kat my Power Coin. I started seeing clearer and I could smell things no one else could, and was I ever glad I move away from Angel Grove at that point. I really do not want to know what Goldar or Rito smelt like. Ew!” Tommy gave a short laugh. “Still the same old Kimberly,” he chuckled. “Just… sharper.” “One way of putting it,” Kim said, retracting her claws. “I didn’t mean it, Tommy. The letter. I was just…” “I know,” Tommy said gently, walking closer to her. “It still hurt.” “I wish there had been another way,” Kim whispered. “I really do.” “Well isn’t this cute,” an annoying voice said. The two former Rangers turned to the owner. “Elgar,” Tommy spat. “What are you doing here?” “Don’t you have some demon to feed, Egg Head?” Kim said smartly. “You two think you’re real funny, don’t you?” Elgar sneered. “Well, how do you like this? Get ‘em!” Quantrons appeared out of nowhere and charged the two. “Just like old times,” Tommy said, dropping into a fighting stance. Kim gave a wild grin. “Ya know, I’ve been wondering how these’d work on Putties,” she said, popping her claws, three on each hand. “Guess I’ll just have ta test them on these bucket heads.” “Whoa! Nice attachments. Where can I get some?” Elgar stared in shock as Kimberly tore through the Quantrons. “Hey, how’d you do that? You can’t do that! You need Morphers and stuff to do that.” “Not me,” Kimberly said, making a B-line for him. “Here, have a taste of grade-A admantium on me!” Elgar raised his hands to ward the strike as Kimberly went for his head. There was an explosion of sparks and Elgar’s hand fell to the ground. “Not again!” The creature complained. “I don’t believe this. How many times is this going to happen to me?” “Quit winging ya big baby,” Kim said with a feral grin. “It’s just a flesh wound.”

“What? Flesh wound? I’ll show you a flesh wound,” Elgar said. “Or, maybe I’ll just use your boyfriend,” Kim turned to see Tommy up against a black and green creature with a large sword. “Tommy!” Kimberly rushed towards them, claws ready. She lashed out, three huge gashes appearing on its arm. “What the…? Well, well, what do we have here?” The thing said. “Back off,” Kim growled, arms at her side. “You okay Tommy?” “Been better,” he said, getting to his feet as more Quantrons gathered around them. “I think we’re in trouble.” “You kiddin’ me?” Kim said. “It’s been ages since I’ve had a decent fight. This’ll be fun.” “Fun?” Tommy said incredulously. “You’re kidding, right?” “Nope,” Kimberly dropped into a horse-riding stance. “Definitely fun.” “I suppose I’d better get dressed for the occasion then,” Tommy said, dropping his hands to his side. He twisted his wrists and two black and bronze bands appeared. “Uh oh,” Elgar muttered. “It’s morphin’ time! Zeo Ranger V! Red!” Tommy brought his Zeonisers together, triggering his transformation into the Red Zeo Ranger. “Huh? I thought you lost those,” Kimberly said in confusion. “After we gave the Turbo powers up, Rocky figured out that we could still use the Zeonisers,” Tommy explained, moving beside her. “Just in case they needed some back up. By the time we got here, though, the Command Centre was already destroyed.” “Not that it really matters,” the black and green monster said. “The two of you still don’t have the power to stop us.” “Yeah,” Elgar said. “What he said.” “Who said there were just two?” “What?” The monsters stared as six coloured figures raced towards them. “Andros,” Tommy exclaimed. “Guys! What are you doing here?” “DECA picked up trouble,” Andros explained. “Thought you could use some help.” “Nice claws,” the Silver Ranger said. “Thanks,” Kim said. “More of you?” The apparent leader said. “It’s over, Ecliptor,” Andros snarled. “Oh really?” Ecliptor snarled back. “Looks like we still outnumber you.” “Nine on fifty seems pretty even ta me,” Logan said as he stepped up behind Ecliptor’s troops. “But then, I never was any good at math.” “Hey, Wolvie,” Kim said flippantly. “Thought I smelt you.” “Think I was gonna leave you alone in a place like this?” Logan snorted. “Wolvie?” TJ ventured. “Short for Wolverine,” Kim explained. “Can we get this fight started yet?” “Wolverine?” Elgar gasped. “Uh-uh, Ecliptor, I gotta go. I think, uh… Aunty D’s callin’. Bye.” “What?” Ecliptor growled as Elgar disappeared. “Am I missing something?” Ashley asked. “Thought I recognised him,” Logan muttered. “I see he still can’t keep himself together.” “So, you two have met,” Ecliptor said. “Well, you’ll find me much harder to defeat. Attack!” The Quantrons charged the Rangers while Ecliptor headed for Logan. “Shouldn’t we help your friend?” Carlos asked. “Relax, Black Ranger,” Kim said, keeping the illusion up. “Logan can take care of himself.” “You don’t smell human,” Logan remarked as Ecliptor charged. A feral grin slid across his face. “Beauty,” six claws slid from his knuckles. “Means I don’t have to hold back.” “Those knives won’t HURKT!” Ecliptor grunted as Logans claws sliced through his armoured skin. That was the second time that had happened in one day. “These claws a’ mine are made a’ the same stuff Wildcat’s are,” Logan said. “Wildcat?” Tommy asked, smiling under his helmet. “Can it, Red,” Kimberley growled, slicing through a Quantron. “Strongest metal on earth,” Logan continued. “Can cut through anything.” “Nice,” a female voice said. “Astronema,” Andros growled, turning to face one of his most hated foes. “Where’s Zordon?” “That’s for you to find out, Ranger,” Astronema said. “If you can survive,” That’s odd, Kimberly thought. Astronema kinda smells like Andros. But how could that be? “Princess,” Ecliptor groaned, limping over to her side. “Very impressive,” Astronema said. “There aren’t many people who can injure Ecliptor like that.” “He underestimated me,” Logan growled. “His mistake. Wanna have a go yerself?” “I think I’ll hold off for now,” Astronema said as she vanished, taking Ecliptor and what was left of her Qauntrons with her. “Better run,” Kim growled.

“Easy there, darlin,” Logan said. “Deep breaths. Catch her another time.” “Right,” Kim said, breathing deeply. She retracted her claws as she walked up to Logan. “Did you smell Astronema?” She whispered low enough so only Logan could here. “Smelled like one a’ the Red Rangers,” Logan said. “Like she was his sister or somethin’.” “Is that possible?” Kim asked, looking over at Andros. “This is your area of expertise, darlin’,” Logan said. Kimberly thought a moment. It wouldn’t be the first time the forces of darkness had brainwashed someone, and if they had gotten her young enough, she probably wouldn’t even remember her family. “They could do it,” Kimberly said finally. “They’re sick enough for it, too. Question is, do we tell him?” “No proof,” Logan said. “’Course, we probably wouldn’t be able to get any proof of that.” “What are you two muttering about?” Tommy asked, walking over. “Things,” Kim said flippantly. She looked over at Andros. “’Scuse me a moment,” she left the two alone, going over to talk to Andros. “She’s changed,” Tommy said to no one in particular. “She always used to be so happy. Now…” “That place does that to ya,” Logan said. “She’s one a’ the lucky ones. She still has her past. Me… I got nothin’.” “Maybe we can help,” the Red Zeo Ranger said. “I doubt anyone can help, bub,” Logan said. “But I’d appreciate it. Thanks… Tommy.” “How’d you…?” Tommy asked in shock. “Yer scent,” Logan said. “I got all Kim’s powers. Hell, as far as we can tell, she’s my daughter. Disguises don’t help with me. Now I got yer scent, I can find ya anywhere. Same goes fer the rest of ‘em. They were in the Youth Centre with ya, right?” “Um…” “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone,” Logan said. “I understand the need for secrecy, bein’ a mutant an’ all.” “Thanks, Logan,” Tommy said as Kim took Andros a part from the others.
“What did you need to talk to me about?” Andros asked. Kimberly took a breath. “It’s about Astronema,” Kim began slowly. “Logan and me, we… we’re mutants. My powers should have come out way earlier, but being the Pink Ranger…” “Wait, you were the Pink Ranger?” Andros said in shock. He should have seen it, but there was something else overlying that in the girl’s stance, in her movements. She’s been through a lot of hardship. “Yeah,” Kim said. “The Power held my mutation in latency. Handing my Power coin over to Kat allowed it to come out strong.” “Why are you telling me this?” Andros asked. “My powers are why,” Kim said. “Healing factor that rivals Ranger healing and enhanced senses, animal keen. When Astronema showed, Logan and I both smelt something about her. A similarity with you.” “Me?” Andros asked in shock. “How…?” “Logan said there was only one way,” Kim said. “That she was your sister. “No,” Andros said angrily. “No way. It’s not possible. She can’t be Karone.” “Karone?” Kim asked carefully. “My sister,” Andros said. “She was kidnapped during the initial attacks on KO-35. I thought she was dead, but… It can’t be her. I refuse to believe it!” “It’s not impossible,” Kim said. “We both know that.” “But…” Andros fell to his knees. “Not Karone. It can’t be.” “I’m sorry,” Kim said. “I really am, but I thought you should know.” “Thankyou,” Andros whispered. Kim took a breath. “I think I may know someone that can help,” Kim said. “It all depends on how strong their hold is on her.” “I’ll do whatever I have to do,” Andros said, getting to his feet. Kim grinned. “Willing to play bait?”

Xavier’s school for Gifted Children. “So that’s the story, professor,” Kimberly said over the phone. “I don’t know if it’s possible, but…” “I understand, Kimberly,” Professor Xavier said. “What does Logan think?” “’Flamin’ kids an’ their hair brained ideas’,” Kim said in a very good impression of Logan. “That pretty much says it all.” “Indeed it does,” Charles chuckled. “If you can get her within range, Cerebro and myself can do the rest.” “So, get her on earth,” Kim said. “Shouldn’t be hard. Whatever they did to her has her with a mad on for her brother. We can use that to our advantage.” “Very well,” Charles said. “Please be careful. These creatures are far more dangerous that I thought.” “Relax, professor,” Kim said. “I’m more comfortable with this than I am with Magneto and company.” “I’m sure you are, but, still, I recommend caution.” “Caution, I’ve got covered,” Kim said. “I’ve already called in some friends.”
Ruins of the Command Centre. “Hey, hey the gangs all here,” Zack joked as he came to the top of the mountain. “Zack!” Jason said happily, clasping hands with his old friend. “Good to see you, bro.” “You are looking well,” Billy said. Zack smiled. Still the same old Billy. “Where’s Trini?” “Back home,” Zack said. “She’s pregnant, so no more adventure for her. I shouldn’t even be here.” “Way to go man,” Jason said. “Congratulations,” Billy agreed. “Though it does leave us down a Ranger.” “Zack!” “Kimberly!” Zack said as the former Pink Ranger embraced him. “You’re looking good. Sorry Trini couldn’t make it.” “Don’t worry about,” Kimberly said. “She stays safe, that’s good enough for me. I got some non-Ranger friends coming to help. I’ll get them to pickup Aisha on the way.” “Is that a good idea, Kim?” Jason asked. “Cool it, leader man,” Kim said, punching the guy that was like her brother in the arm. “They’re mutants, like me. They can handle it.” “You sure?” Jason asked. Kimberly sighed in frustration, and then popped her claws. “This is the least power we’re packing,” Kim said, retracting the metal blades. “They can handle it.” “You told us what happened, but…” Jason clenched his fists in anger. “How could they do this to another human being?” “To them, mutants aren’t human,” Kim said sadly. “A disgustingly over rated opinion,” Billy said sourly. “The only difference between mutants and normal humans is the single extra genome.” “The X-Factor,” Kim said, nodding her head. “For some people, that’s enough.” “Bet we could change their minds,” Zack said. “That, I’d like to see,” Kim said with a wild grin. “C’mon. Tommy and the other’s are waiting on the Megaship.” “How are we getting there?” Billy asked. If he knew that’s where they were going, we would have docked directly with the Megaship when he arrived form Aquitar. “Got it covered,” Kim said as she brought up a familiar looking silver bracelet. “Alpha, four to teleport.” “Right away Kimberly,” the small robot said. Seconds later, they were in the Tube room on the Astro Megaship. “I’d forgotten what that was like,” Zack said with a smile. “You miss it too, huh, bro?” Jason said. “Damn straight.” “I think we’ve all missed it a bit,” Kim said. “Course, I’ve got something of a replacement for the adrenaline.” “Kicking evil ass in an entirely new way,” Zack said. “Do they hurt? The claws?” “Every time,” Kimberly said. “This seems familiar fer some reason,” Logan said with a smile as he walked in. “They’re waitin’ on the bridge. If ya can find yer way there. I thought the mansion was huge.” “I would be happy to direct you, Logan,” DECA said. “That takes some gettin’ used to too,” Logan said. “He didn’t mean anything by it, DECA,” Kim said. “He’s just an old fogy.” “Keep it up, darlin’,” Logan muttered. “We haven’t had our usual training yet today.” “If you can still keep up with me, old man,” Kim teased. “The day ya beat me’s the day I trade in these claws fer a suitcase,” Logan shot back as they headed towards the bridge. “Kinda like you and Tommy back in the day, huh?” Zack whispered to Jason. “Actually,” Kimberly said with a smile, “we’re worse. Enhanced senses, Zack, remember? I heard every word.” “That’ll take some getting used to,” Zack said.

Astro Megaship. Bridge. “Guys!” Tommy said as they walked in. “Tommy!” “Hey Bro,” the five Mighty Morphin Rangers gathered at the door. “Man, I never thought we’d be together like this again,” the Red Zeo Ranger said. “I know,” Zack said. “I’m sorry Trini couldn’t make, but we’ve got a baby on the way.” “Hey, congratulations, man,” Tommy said. “So, what exactly is the deal?” Jason asked, going into Red Ranger mode. “Simple,” Kimberly said. “We’re going to free Andros’ sister from Dark Spectre’s control. Then we’re going to rescue Zordon, and then we’re going to kick that ugly excuse for an evil overlord’s ass back to whatever hellhole he crawled out of. Any questions?” The gathered Rangers stared at her in shock. “What?” “I think ya said that a bit fast for ‘em, darlin’,” Logan said. “We heard it just fine,” Zack said. “It’s just the way you said it. Like it’s that easy.” “It is that easy,” Kimberly said confidently. “We’ve been searching for Zordon for a long time, Kimberly,” Andros said sadly, “and Dark Spectre’s had Karone for years. It won’t be that easy.” “Gee, you make it sound like the odds are against us,” Kim said with a grin. “Good thing I don’t pay attention to the odds. Relax, guys. We’ve got some aces Dark Spectre won’t expect. Billy, you got the gizmo?” “Affirmative, Kim,” Billy said. “I just need to connect it up to the Megaship’s comm. Systems.” “What are you connecting?” Andros asked. “I would like to know what is being connected to my systems.” “It’s alright, DECA,” Billy said reassuringly. “It’s just a Time/Space Signal Amplifier I helped Alpha and Zordon build just before the Dino Zords were destroyed.” “A Time/Space Signal Amp?” Carlos said. “Why would Zordon need one of those?” “Because the designs for the Thunder Zords came from the future,” Kimberly explained. Zack, Jason and Tommy stared at her. “I was in for a check up, just in case the situation with my X Factor changed and I heard Zordon talking to some guy claiming to be from the future. I can’t say more that ‘cause it might change history if you know more, but he left the designs for the Amp before he left.” “When Zordon and Alpha V left for Eltar, they left the Amplifier with me,” Billy continued for her. “Like he knew something was going to happen.” “We link the Amp to the Megaship,” Kim said. “Then I can make a call from earth and meet the guy at the meeting place he and Zordon set up.” “Why you?” Andros asked. “Shouldn’t we all go?” “I’m the only one besides Zordon and Alpha that knows the full story,” Kim said. “I’ve told all I’m allowed and with Zordon and Alpha out of the picture, I’m the only one he’ll allow to meet him.” “Sounds screwy to me,” Zack said. “But if you think you can handle it…” “I can,” Kim said confidently. “Aright,” Tommy said. “Kim can meet this guy. The rest of us help the Space Rangers search for Zordon.” “Hold on, Tommy,” Andros said suddenly. “I appreciate your help, but we can handle the search for Zordon.” “Andros…” Ashley began. “As soon as Kim’s made her call, we’ll head out for Zordon,” Andros continued. “You guys should stay here in case Dark Spectre tried something.”
Earth. The Youth Centre. “Did anyone else notice the fact that we’ve been cut out?” Zack asked glumly. “Don’t think I’m sitting on the sidelines,” Jason said quietly. “Zordon means too much to me, to all of us, to do nothing.” “But what can we do?” Zack asked. “It’s pretty obvious Andros doesn’t want us involved.” “For the moment?” Jason said. “We get back in shape. Come on, Tommy. Let’s see if all that time sitting in a car’s made you any worse than you used to be.” “That’s if you can keep up with me, man,” Tommy said. “The more things change,” Billy chuckled. “Yeah,” Zack agreed. “They’re worse than ever. Hey, where are Kimberly and Logan?” “Kim’s meeting Zordon’s contact,” Billy said. “As for Logan… I think the only person who has any inkling of where he goes is Kim.”

Elsewhere. “Ms Hart.” “Captain,” Kimberly said as the man in the white and black uniform walked up to her. “I’m sorry about this, but…” “Things are desperate,” the Captain said. “Time Force is aware of the current situation. Aware and prepared,” he handed her a small black box. “What’s this?” Kim asked. “We managed to get some contact information from Zordon last visit,” the Captain explained. “In preparation for this. Freeing Karone, if you can, may change the course of history, however, just in case, you’ll be needing these,” Kimberly looked at him strangely before taking the box and opening it. “The Power Morphers,” she gasped. “How?” “A little help from Ninjor and Dimitria,” the Captain explained. “A rebuilt set of Dino Zords has already been sent back, each in their respective hangars. We’re unable to reactivate the Dragon Zord though.” “I don’t know if anyone can bring the Dragon Zord back on line,” Kimberly said sadly. “But these will be a big help. Thanks.” “There’s one thing I need to tell you,” he said. “If you take on the mantle of the Pink Ranger, it may kill you.” “What?” “You’re healing factor is the only reason you’re body could survive the adamantium bonding process. Without it, you’ll suffer from poisoning and die.” “So, we’ll need to find another Pink Ranger,” Kim mused, closing the box. “Thanks for the head’s up.” “Good luck.”
As the two parted ways, they didn’t notice a third party hanging from the ceiling “An interesting situation,” the figure muttered. If things remained the way they were, his future, a future ruled by an intergalactic demon and an immortal mutant despot, would remain unchanged. Which meant something had to be done. But what? The Dragon Zord could change things, but remained powerless at the bottom of Angel Grove Bay. Unless… A desperate plan formed in the travellers mind as he triggered his Temporal Gateway Generator. This might just work.
Later. Billy’s Lab. “Nice to see some thing’s don’t change,” Zack said with a grin. Only the four original Rangers were there, Kimberly having decided this was something best kept secret. For a while at least. “So, what’s up, Kim?” “Our contact came up with something,” she explained, placing the box on the desk. “Something I didn’t expect.” “What is it?” Jason asked. Kimberly opened the box with a grin. “No way.” “That’s impossible,” Billy said. “The Power Coins were destroyed.” “Well, he did it,” Kimberly said, handing the boys their Morphers. “Now this brings back memories,” Jason said with a smile. “That first day,” Kim said wistfully, looking at the Pink Morpher. “Kim?” Zack asked. “I can’t use it,” she whispered. “The Power suppresses mutant powers. If I use the Morpher, if I morph, my body will begin to deteriorate.” “What?” Jason demanded. “Why?” “The adamantium,” Kim explained. “The only reason I can survive with it in my body is my healing factor. I loose that…” “She’s dead,” Billy whispered. The other two looked at her. “This sucks,” Zack said. “When I get my hands on those creeps,” Jason growled. He’s rant was interrupted by a message from the Alpha VI. “The Rangers have returned and are heavily outnumbered,” the little robot reported. “They need help.” “Come on, guys,” Jason said. “You guys go,” Kimberly said. “I just had an idea,” she watched the guys go, wishing she could join them. But the situation demanded a Pink Ranger, and she’d just had an idea. “Alpha, you still there?” “Of course, Kimberly,” Alpha answered. “I need you to teleport Aisha directly to Billy’s lab. I also need one other person…” Kim said.

Angel Grove Park. “Where did Astronema get all these guys?” TJ complained as he fought off several Qunatrons. “Did she take an ad out or something?” “You Rangers and your friends are becoming a nuisance,” Ecliptor growled. “Astronema has ordered you destroyed.” “It’ll take more than your tin cans to do that, Ecliptor,” Jason said as he, Zack and Billy came running towards them. “Where’s Kimberly?” Logan asked. “Said she had something to do,” Zack told him. “You Powerless Rangers think you can stop us?” Ecliptor snorted. “Who said we were powerless, ugly?” A voice said. The ten Rangers and one mutant turned. “Aisha!” Tommy exclaimed as the second Yellow Ranger ran towards them with Kimberly and an unknown girl. Unknown to most anyway. “What are ya doin’ here, Rogue?” Logan demanded. “Chill out, old man,” Kim said as Marie joined Aisha and the original male Rangers. “I called her in. There’s something I needed to ask her. She said yes.” “What’s going on here?” Andros demanded. He neither wanted nor needed more civilians to baby sit. “Like Aisha said,” Jason told him, pulling out a small box like object. “We’re not entirely powerless.” “Is that what I think it is?” Tommy gasped as Zack, Billy, Aisha and Marie pulled out similar devices. “Have ya lost yer mind, darlin’?” Logan asked. “It’s the only way Ah can help, Logan,” Marie said. “Besides, Ah can feel now.” “Ready guys?” Jason said with a grin. “Say the word, Jase,” Zack answered for them. Kimberly grinned sadly. “Have fun guys,” she whispered. “It’s Morphin’ Time!” “No,” Eclitpor muttered. “Mastodon!” “Pterodactyl!” “Triceratops!” “Sabre-tooth Tiger!” “Tyrannosourus!” “What?” Andros gasped. Jason grinned under his helmet. That rookie needed to be taken down a notch. “You gonna join us, bro?” He asked. Tommy grinned. “Like you needed to ask,” he said. “It’s Morphin’ Time! Zeo Ranger V, Red!” “Hey Andros,” TJ looked over at the Red Ranger. “We gonna let these old guys show us up?” “’Old’?” Tommy asked. “Let’s go guys,” Andros said. “Let’s Rocket!” “Shall we?” Kimberly asked wickedly as she and Logan unsheathed their claws. “Ya’ve got some explainin’ ta do when this is over, darlin’,” Logan muttered. “After we’ve kicked the intergalactic despots of our planet, ‘kay, Wolverine?” “Right,” the older mutant said, grinning wolfishly. “Later.” “This is so cool,” Marie said, flipping over a group of Quantrons and knocking another group down. “Girls a fast learner,” Zack complimented. “You may have your powers back, but you’re still no match for me,” Ecliptor said, charging Jason. The original Red Ranger grinned under his helmet. “Thanks for volunteering, grid features,” Jason said, summoning his Power Sword. “Volunteering?” Ecliptor growled as Jason blocked his shot. “I’ve got a lot of frustrations to work out,” Jason said. “And you just volunteered to be my punching bag!” Multiple explosions rained on Ecliptor’s armour as Jason vented his anger and frustration the monstrous general. “The original and still the best,” Kim grinned as she slashed her way through the Quantrons. “Boys got skills, I’ll give him that,” Logan agreed. “Looks like yer Zordon’s got a good eye.” “It took you this long to figure that out?” Kimberly growled. “Yeah, but that Space Red acts like Cyclops,” Logan said. “Do they always do that?” Andros asked. “Do what?” Marie asked. “Do you think these guys shine they’re armour?” Kimberly asked Logan. “Would ya keep yer flamin’ yap shut until the big ugly takes off?” Logan growled in annoyance as the last of the Quantrons fell. “Excuse me,” Kimberly muttered. “Oh, that,” Marie drawled. “Logan’s not much for quipping in a fight. He’s more smash mouth, in your face. Kimberly has more fun out of it. Maybe it’s got ta do with that generation of Rangers.” “Careful what you say, girl,” Aisha said, punching the new Pink Ranger in the arm. “You are ‘that generation of Rangers’ now.” “Oh, yeah,” Marie said. “How’s Jason doing?” Billy asked. The gathered Rangers and mutants watched as Ecliptor fell to the ground. “Woo!” Kimberly screamed. “Go for it Jason!” “Kimberly!” Andros scolded. “Listen, rookie,” Kimberly growled at him. “There’s no one around in ear or eye shot, I had Alpha check before I got here, otherwise I wouldn’t have shown. Don’t want anyone knowing about these,” she held up her claws, “do I? I know the rules. I was protecting Angel Grove before Zordon gave you your Megaship, so were Jason, Billy, Tommy and Zack. We know what we’re doing. If you trusted us a little more, maybe I would have told you about the morphers instead of letting the guys morph in your face and take you down a notch, you arrogant jerk!” “Whoa,” TJ said. “That was intense.” “Now Ah know what Pink Rangers are supposed to do,” Marie said. “Keep the Red Ranger with the rest of us.” “Yeah,” Cassie said. “Only with us, that rather dubious honour goes to our Yellow Ranger.” “Hey guys, look,” Carlos pointed towards Jason and Ecliptor, the latter was now on his face in the dirt. “That’s what happens when you mess with the Power Rangers,” Jason declared, stepping back. “Yes,” Kimberly cheered, retracting her claws. “You owe me a twenty, Oliver.” “Twenty?” Carlos ventured. Tommy shrugged. “I said something before Jason arrived,” he said vaguely. “He bet twenty bucks Jason couldn’t take down Ecliptor even if he did have his powers,” Kimberly said cheerfully. “I didn’t tell him what I knew about Jason’s training since that whole thing with Divatox.” “What training?” Andros asked. Kimberly grinned as Jason faced them. “Go ahead, Kimberly,” he said, watching Ecliptor through the corner of his eye. “He’s spent most of the time training with the best warriors Triforia had to offer,” Kimberly said. “His words, he wasn’t going to get caught out like that again.” “You’re kidding,” TJ said in shock. “Nope,” Billy said. “I had to pick him up on my way back from Aquitar. He made me promise to keep it a secret.” “So, that’s it,” Ecliptor moaned, getting to his feet. “Well, I’m impressed, but it won’t save you next time,” he vanished, leaving the group alone. “So, meeting at the Megaship?” Kimberly ventured. Tommy looked around. “Are we going to have enough room?” He asked. “Maybe we should rebuild the Command Centre,” Zack suggested jokingly.

Astro Megaship. “Ai ai ai ai ai!” Alpha VI said, walking through the corridors of the Megaship. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Rangers in one place. It’s all quite exciting.” “Alpha, I wasn’t designed for so many people,” DECA advised. “I’m sure it’s only temporary,” Alpha said to the computer. The AI followed the robot down the hall, switching its view from camera to camera. “Alpha, be…” DECA bagan. Her warning, however, came to late as Marie came around the corner and ran straight into the little robot. “Oh mah God,” she gasped as the little robot fell. “Are you all right?” “I’m fine,” Alpha assured her. “Though I could use some help.” “Oh, right,” Marie helped him up. “Heh heh,” Alpha chuckled. “See? Not even scratch.” “Ah’m real sorry,” Marie apologised. “Ah guess Ah got a little lost and panicked.” “If you needed help, you could have asked,” DECA said. Marie looked towards a nearby camera. “Ah know, but with so many Rangers, I figured you’d be busy,” Marie said. “Marie, my consciousness runs through this entire vessel. I am designed to run the Megaship without help. A few extra Rangers is not that much of a strain on my resources,” DECA informed her. “Oh,” Marie said. “Sorry.” “Don’t worry,” Alpha said. “She’s always like that. So, where were you headed?” “Um, Kim said to meet in the bridge,” Marie said. “But Ah got a little hungry and went looking for the kitchen.” “Well, the bridge is just over here,” Alpha said, leading her to the door she had just rushed past. “Well, now Ah feel like a dork,” Marie said, embarrassed, as they walked in. “Don’t worry,” Alpha said. “TJ got so lost at first, he walked straight into the girls quarters.” “Gee thanks,” TJ said dryly. “I don’t think they heard you on Aquitar.” “Ah got a little lost,” Marie said. “Walked straight past the bridge.” “Next time, just ask for directions,” Kimberly advised. “Now that we’re all here,” Andros said. “Let’s get started. We’ve had some leads on Zordon we’re following up. If you guys…” “Hang on a second, Andros,” Tommy interjected. “I’m sorry, but we can’t just sit by and do nothing while you go looking for Zordon. He means too much to most of the people here for us to sit back and do nothing.” “I understand, Tommy,” Andrs said. “But someone has to stay on earth in case of an attack.” “And someone will,” Tommy said. “It’s already organised. Jason and his team will stay here, since we don’t have a transport for their Zords, at least not one that can travel through space. I’ve already called the other Zeo Rangers, and they’re on their way to Angel Grove as we speak.” “I’ve already made a call to Tryforia,” Jason said. “Trey’s coming to pick the Zeo Rangers and their Zords up in Pyramidus. That way, we can spread the search a little wider, giving us more chance of finding Zordon.” “I appreciate the help…” Andros began, but this time, Marie interrupted. “Ah understand what you’re feeling, Andros,” she said. “When Professor Xavier was kidnapped a while back, along with most of the school, those that were left were worried. We even went as far as teamin’ with our biggest enemy to save him. “Ah know you’re worried about Zordon. You don’t know what’s happenin’, you don’t know where he is, you don’t know if you’ll ever see him again and that idea scares you. That’s all the more reason to accept the help. From what I can gather, the Ranger teams that came before you have their own contacts beyond earth’s atmosphere. Let them use those contacts, and their own experiences, to help you. After all, isn’t Zordon important to all of you?” Andros looked at the girl. Ordinarily he’d dismiss her views, since she was the least experienced. Yet this time, he couldn’t. Because he could see it in her eyes, hear it in her voice. What she’d said came from two places that made a difference. Personal experience, and the heart. “Alright,” he relented. “We’ll go with your plan.” “Alright!” Zack said. “Thanks, man,” Tommy said. “We won’t let you down. We’ll find Zordon. I promise.” “From anyone else, that wouldn’t mean a lot,” Andros said, earnestly. “Coming from you, Tommy? I actually believe it.” “You better believe it,” Kimberly said. “When Tommy Oliver puts his mind to something, he does it. No exceptions. Except for the times he was brainwashed. Speaking of, before you guys take off, I believe someone’s little sister needs saving?” “I still think this idea’s crazier than Magneto,” Logan muttered. “That’s why it’s gonna work,” Kimberly said confidently. “It’s so crazy, there’s no way they’ll expect it.” “Has she always been like that?” Marie asked. “Yeah,” Jason said with a grin. “That’s our Kimberly alright.” “Let’s get this over with then,” Andros said, a determined look on his face. He still had his doubts that Astronema was Karone, but if it brought him any closer to finding his sister, if she was alive, he’d try anything.
